He is born in 1945 in Pontenure (Piacenza), he is graduate in Economics and he has studied in Usa and in Europe.
He is married with 5 children.
From 1973 to 1984 he was economical, financial and strategic consultant in Metra-Sema and then in McKinsey.
From 1987 to 1992 he is cofounder, member of board of directors and of executive committee and the CEO of Akros Finanziaria, investment bank.
From 1993 he is representant of Santander Bank in Italy. He has been the founder of the Italian branch and consultant of the president of Santander for Italy.
From 2004 to 2007 è independent member of board of directors, nominated by Minister of Economics, of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. He is again member from 2009.
From 1996 to 2006 he is first professor of Financial Strategy at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and then of Business Ethics at the University of Turin.
He is author and writes in many newspapers.
